Please ensure that you have read through these terms and conditions before entering into a boarding agreement with Mutts and Mittens. The conditions contained in this contract are legally binding and may affect how your pet(s) is cared for.
Information About Us
www.muttsnmittens.com is a site operated by Mutts & Mittens Pte Ltd. We are registered in Singapore under the Business Registration Number 200309323W and with our registered office at 59 Sungei Tengah Road Blk B #01-03 The Animal Lodge Singapore 699014. Our GST Registration Number is 200309323W.
By placing an order through our site or on the telephone, you warrant that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts.
Right of Acceptance or Rejection
Mutts & Mittens Pte Ltd reserves the right to accept or reject any boarding proposal as we deem fit without assigning a reason.
How the Contract is formed between You and Us
After placing an online order, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order. Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted. Your order constitutes an offer to us to book our Boarding or Daycare Services. All telephone and on-line orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we will confirm such acceptance to you either during our telephone / Whatsapp conversation or email. The contract between us (“the Contract”) will only be formed when you have made the full payment under the Contract.
Pet Owners’ Responsibility
It is your responsibility to ensure the health of your pet. Mutts and Mittens strongly recommends that you send (or arrange for) your pet to go for regular veterinary health exams and routine parasite screening.
We accept no responsibility should the pet(s) subsequently suffer any illness associated with tick/fleas and heartworm etc.
Health and Welfare
The health and welfare of our boarding pet guests is of utmost importance to us. As such, Mutts & Mittens requires boarding pets to be vaccinated before they can be allowed onto our premises. This is because boarding environments like ours with a high concentration of dogs and cats are associated with an increased risk of transmission of communicable diseases such as, but not limited to –
Dogs: Canine Distemper, Canine Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza.
Cats: Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Feline Calicivirus and Feline Panleukopenia (Feline Distemper)
FOR DOGS – REQUIRED VACCINATION: DHLPP – Canine Distemper, Canine Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza
FOR CATS – REQUIRED VACCINATION: FVRCP – Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Feline Calicivirus and Feline Panleukopenia (Feline Distemper)
Your pet(s) must have been vaccinated against the above mentioned viruses within 12 months prior to check in but no sooner than 2 weeks before the start of boarding.
RECOMMENDED VACCINATION: Kennel Cough Vaccination (contains only the Bordetella agent)
Kennel Cough (also known as canine infectious tracheobronchitis) is a highly contagious respiratory disease. Owners are encouraged to vaccinate their pets against kennel cough but should do so at least 2 weeks prior to start of boarding.
Should there be a medical reason why your pet(s) cannot be vaccinated, we will accept your dog with a note from the vet but accept no responsibility for any viral diseases contracted during/after its stay.
As such, owners must provide proof of complete and valid vaccinations before their pet(s) can be allowed onto our premises. This vaccination documentation needs to be issued by a certified veterinarian (vaccination cards or vaccination certificates), with details of the pet, the owner’s name and contact details. The original documentation needs to be provided to us prior to check-in even though you have submitted scanned images via email or WhatsApp to us.
We accept no responsibility for any related problems that may occur during/after the stay.
Flea and Tick Prevention
Lyme, Ehrlichia canis, Ehrlichia ewingi, Anaplasma phagocytophilum, and Anaplasma platys are transmitted by ticks. All pet(s) will receive a dose of tick and flea prevention (Frontline or Revolution or similar product) upon arrival at Mutts & Mittens as a compulsory preventive measure. We note that this measure is only prophylactic and is not 100% foolproof.
If your pet(s) is on your own tick prevention and needs to be administered a dose during its stay with us, please provide these required dosage and administration instructions at check-in.
We accept no responsibility for any tick and flea related problems that may occur during/after the stay.
Boarding pet(s) are fed a premium grade kibble that may contain chicken fats, chicken, anchovy and sardine meal. If your pet(s) has a sensitive digestive system or has any known allergies, we advise you to provide an alternative food supply sufficient for the duration of your pet(s) stay.
Our feeding regime is twice daily between 9am to 10am and between 4pm to 4.30pm. However, if you require a different arrangement, please inform the front desk at check-in.
Your pet(s) may lose/gain weight while in our care due to the change in the environment. This is normal, however, if there is significant weight loss due to the pet’s inability to adjust, we will inform you to discuss an alternative care strategy.
We accept no responsibility for any weight loss/gain that may occur during the stay.
Whilst you may bring additional items to make your pet’s stay more comfortable, please be informed we will not be responsible for any loss/damage of any of these items. We do provide an elevated bed, food and water bowls for your pet(s). To minimize the risk of loss or damage, we encourage you to bring only necessary items during your pet’s stay.
Basic Grooming (for dogs only)
Our basic grooming consists of a shower, nail clipping (if needed), expressing the anal gland (if needed) and brushing of fur. For the safety of your pet(s) and our caretakers, we will determine when grooming may need to be stopped. We do not forcibly restrain, sedate, or continue grooming if a pet cannot be easily restrained. Your business is important, but our priority is your pet’s wellbeing and the safety of our staff.
Medical Issues, Emergencies and Veterinary Attention
Occasionally, our boarding pet(s) may experience minor problems e.g. superficial cuts, skin rashes, eye/ear infections, abrasions and cuts that we are able to handle on site without the need for veterinary attention. These problems are generally benign and can usually be managed by our caretakers. We will treat these conditions and update you accordingly.
However, should there be any medical emergency that demand quick action (e.g. collapsed, suspected Gastric Dilatation Volvulus also known as a stomach bloat), the wellbeing of your pet(s) comes first. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you. Failing which we will seek immediate veterinary attention for your pet(s) at the nearest available veterinary clinic. You give the veterinarian complete authority to treat your pet in whatever manner deemed necessary in the circumstances according to the veterinarian’s discretion. In this regard releases the treating veterinarian shall discuss your pet’s condition and treatment options with Mutts and Mittens on any aspect of any illness or injury presented for treatment. You shall be liable for the medical expenses and transport costs to the veterinarian incurred on your behalf for your pet.
You will be our first point of contact. However, should we be unable to reach you, your nominated emergency contact will be empowered to make all decisions on your behalf including but not limited to medical decisions, care of pet(s), custody of pet(s) e.g. emergency contact is authorized to check out your pet(s) without additional authorization. If you or your emergency contact is not reachable then we shall act in the manner necessary in the interests of your pet under the circumstances.
The entire period of your pet’s stay will be charged upon booking via our website. Full payment must be made within 3 working days from the booking date to confirm the reservation.
Mutts and Mittens is GST registered and all our prices presented are before GST.
Our modes of payment are:
- Bank transfer (Preferred)
- PayNow (Preferred)
Additional charges including but not limited to, medical services, food supplements, vet charges, extensions of stays must be paid in full before checking out.
Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy
We offer refunds at our discretion and after deduction of any expenses already incurred by us provided you cancel your booking 4 weeks before the commencement of the boarding of your pet. However, we have a strict non-refundable, non-cancellation, non-amendable policy in the following situations:
- Reservations made for the months of June, December and Chinese New Year
- After boarding your pet and you decide to check out your pet before the expiry of the booked boarding, regardless of the reason
- An administrative fee of 20% – 25% will be charged for any refund/cancellation.
Price and Payment
The price of our boarding services will be as quoted on our site from time to time, and shall be applicable, except in cases of obvious error.
Our site contains pictures of boarding rooms for illustration purposes and it may not always be possible for us to provide a boarding room as pictured.
We will normally contact you and confirm the booking of your pet(s) or reject your order if we are fully booked or your pet(s) did not have a valid vaccination and notify you of such rejection.
We are under no obligation to provide a boarding room to you even after we have provided you with an email confirmation, until you have made the full payment.

Daily: Check-in: 2pm to 4.30pm
Daily: Check-out: 10am to 1pm
Public Holidays Eve
Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and Chinese New Year’s Eve:
- No Check-in
- Check-out: 10am to 12pm
All Public Holidays: Closed
Events Outside our Control
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform or delay in performance of, any of our obligations that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (“Force Majeure Event”).
A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes in particular (without limitation) the following:
- strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action;
- civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war;
- fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disasters;
- impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport;
- impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks; or
- the acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government.
Our performance under the Contract is deemed to be suspended for the period that the Force Majeure Event continues, and we will have an extension of time for performance for the duration of that period. We will use reasonable endeavours to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations under the Contract may be performed despite the Force Majeure Event.
If we fail, at any time during the term of a Contract, to insist upon the strict performance of any of your obligations under the Contract or any of these Terms and Conditions, or if we fail to exercise any of the rights or remedies to which we are entitled under the Contract, this shall not constitute a waiver of such rights or remedies and shall not relieve you from compliance with such obligations.
A waiver by us of any default shall not constitute a waiver of any subsequent default.
No waiver by us of any of these Terms and Conditions shall be effective unless it is expressly stated to be a waiver and is communicated to you in writing.
If any of these Terms and Conditions or any provisions of a Contract are determined by any competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, such term, condition or provision will to that extent be severed from the remaining terms, conditions, and provisions which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
These Terms and Conditions and any document expressly referred to in them represent the entire agreement between us in relation to the subject matter of any Contract and supersede any prior agreement, understanding or arrangement between us, whether oral or in writing.
We each acknowledge that, in entering into a Contract, neither of us has relied on any representation, undertaking or promise given by the other and that nothing may be implied from anything said or written in negotiations between us prior to such Contract except as expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions.
Neither of us shall have any remedy in respect of any untrue statement made by the other, whether orally or in writing, prior to the date of any Contract (unless such untrue statement was made fraudulently) and the other party’s only remedy shall be for breach of contract as provided in these Terms and Conditions.
Our Right to Vary these Terms and Conditions
We have the right to revise and amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
You will be subject to the Policies and Terms and Conditions in force at the time that you order Boarding services from us unless any change to those Policies or these Terms and Conditions is required to be made by law or governmental authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you), or if we notify you of the change to those Policies or these Terms and Conditions before we provide you with the Confirmation (in which case we have the right to assume that you have accepted the change to the Terms and Conditions unless you notify us to the contrary within seven working days of receipt by you of the Products).
Law and Jurisdiction
Contracts for the purchase of Products through our site will be governed by the Law of Singapore. Any dispute arising from, or related to, such Contracts shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of The Republic of Singapore.
When the Unthinkable Happens
Sometimes we find ourselves in the terrible situation of caring for pet(s) whose owners have been unreliable with payment or have simply gone off the radar. With much regret, we include the following to our Terms & Conditions.
If your pet is not picked up by you (or your authorized representative) within 14 days after the day your pet is scheduled to depart or no payment has been made within 3 months, you understand that your pet shall be deemed to be abandoned and shall be removed after abandonment, and you specifically waive all statutory or legal rights to the contrary or claims for compensation.
You understand that pet abandonment is a criminal or civil violation of the statues of the Singapore Laws.
You shall remain liable for all fees due and, in addition, agrees to pay any and all costs incurred by us in the event of any prosecution that may be taken in under such circumstances.
You shall be notified of any matters by way of WhatsApp, email or certified mail and no further notice shall be deemed necessary which you acknowledge is sufficient means to give you notice by us.
